"I Love Lucy" too!

A couple of months ago, I got an email from a very sweet lady who was throwing a party for her sister, who was turing 50. She wanted a fantastic cake that included two of her favorite episodes from "I Love Lucy". I had so much fun creating this cake! But the best part was everyone's reaction to it. :)

Cakes for a Cause

A couple of weeks ago I was contacted by a charity called Hope and Help. The charity is helping to end AIDS in Central Florida. Every year they host a Headdress Ball to raise money for their charity. I was asked to make dummy cake centerpieces for the tables, and in turn Hope and Help would advertise my business. My imagination was my only limitation, I just had to use the colors, pink, blue, yellow, green and purple. Here's what I came up with...

1. Sprinkles and Cupcakes
2. Henna Inspired
3. Confetti Birthday

I had so much fun making these cakes! I also found out later that my cakes were featured on the VIP tables and the event and my business will be advertised in the Orlando Sentinel because of it!!

Wow! Has it been that long?

I just took a peak at my blogger dashboard and I haven't written a post since February! Yikes! I need to rectify that situation immediately. :)

Well for a little update... I'm still baking away like crazy, but this time I'm doing it in Orlando. And I couldn't be happier about that. The orders have already started rolling in and I can't wait to share all the exciting things that are happening with you. So stay tuned!

A New Year

2010 is finally here and I'm so excited! I have so many plans and aspirations for this new year. I would love to...quit my teaching job, bake full time, move back to Orlando, start a family, start a wedding planning business with my sister and friend, learn how to sew, master the art of cookie decorating, and blog frequently. I think that's all...for now. Until I find something else to become obsessed with.

Right now I'm obsessed with cookies, cupcakes and cake pops.

Wedding Cookie Favors (just practicing!)

Snickerdoodle cupcake, my "Cupcake of the Month".

"Love" cake pop.

Well these's your sneak peek of some things I've been working on. Stay tuned for more sweet treats coming soon!
