Yesterday I got a call from a woman who was frantically looking for a cake for her husband's birthday. She was visiting from out of town and she needed a cake...by tomorrow! She told me her husband owned a chain of BBQ restaurants in St. Louis and she would like a grill cake. Even though I'm closed for the week, getting ready for new flavors and items in the bakeshop. I told her I would. This would be a piece of cake (literally and figuratively), I thought. I've done this before. I whipped up the cake in record time. I'm extremely happy with the results the second time around.

Merry Christmas!
This is my first time blogging in a really, really, really (did I say really?) long time. This year has been a very exciting one, filled with many new baking and business adventures. I have lots to share and I'm making a resolution in 2010 to blog more often. So stay tuned for all the sweetest to come!
